Week 6 – Bevans, Chapter 6

The praxis model is one of action.

There is a constant cycle between action and reflection to elaborate, but more importantly live out theology. It seems to aim at changes in society, which is why it is so frequently associated to theologies of liberation.
According to this model real theology cannot be purely theoretical, it has to be, on the contrary more practical than theoretical to be genuine. This does reminds me of James’ writings, when he says that faith without action is dead. Faith reveals itself through actions.
